Design of it: an Aldor library to express parallel programs Extended Abstract
نویسنده
چکیده
We describe the implementation of asynchronous function calls and remote partial evaluated function calls in . Both constructs are high level constructs that hide low level programming details. In the talk we present examples and show results.

Parallelism and Aldor: a Rst Report of It
We describe the implementation of , a library for parallel computations in Aldor. In the poster, both design and experimentations on linear algebra examples are presented.
متن کاملA Framework for Using Aldor Libraries with Maple
This paper examines what is required to use Aldor libraries to extend Maple in an effective and natural way. This represents a non-traditional approach to structuring computer algebra software: using an efficient, compiled language, designed for writing large complex mathematical libraries together with a top-level system based on userinterface priorities and ease of scripting. Our method invol...
متن کاملA Tutorial Implementation of the Diffusion Algorithmic Skeleton with the BSMLlib Library
Skeleton programming enables programmers to build parallel programs easier by providing efficient ready-made parallel algorithms. The diffusion skeleton was proposed (associated with a method for program derivation) to abstract a good combination of primitive skeletons, such as map, parallel reduction and parallel prefix sum (scan). The BSMLLIB library whose design is based on formal semantics ...
متن کاملDerivation of Eecient Data Parallel Programs
This paper considers the expression and derivation of eecient data parallel programs for SIMD and MIMD machines. It is shown that eecient parallel programs must utilise both sequential and parallel computation; these are termed hybrid programs. The Bird{Meertens formalism, a calculus of higher order functions, is used to derive and express programs. Our goal is to derive eecient parallel progra...
متن کاملDesign and optimisation of scientific programs in a categorical language
This thesis presents an investigation into the use of advanced computer languages for scientific computing, an examination of performance issues that arise from using such languages for such a task, and a step toward achieving portable performance from compilers by attacking these problems in a way that compensates for the complexity of and differences between modern computer architectures. The...
